In a world where cookbooks fill shelves as fast as romance novels, where recipes are Googled millions of times and reach cult status, where chefs duke it out to the bitter end on television, and blogs compete for the highest traffic from how-to videos for knife sharpening, turkey carving and mayonnaise whipping, we decided to create a place where we could make and share work that would fill the gap that's left after all the knives are sharp and the top chefs are crowned.
We love food, we love food culture, and we love what happens in our souls when we gather around a kitchen to make food, and we gather around a table to eat it. This is a place to exercise our eyes and our hearts, and express what we see and feel when we consider all angles of a meal, when we open up wide and look at the mealscape.
